The full JSEM experience includes a wide variety of teaching, study, and adventure trips.

Participants will learn holistically through courses loaded with information, discussion, and application that is designed to give you a more comprehensive understanding of God, yourself, and the world.

Then another plane. And another. Land in your host country.  Breathe.
Get shorts on. Now, GO.

Southeast Asia is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Unlock this picturesque island. 
Make it your home for the next 3 months.

LEARN

Know Jesus. Expand your global perspective.
Study deeply. Explore cultural bias and seek truth in a world struggling to define justice*. 
Experience rich community set in a distinct culture. Make lifelong friends. 
Break ground every week in God’s word. 
The Bible is a deep well that will cause you to fall in love with Jesus, make you alive, and guide you.

Transform

Let exposure change you.
See life and brokenness in its raw form. Listen, speak, read. 
Let Jesus’ transformation mold you.
The goal of this experience isn’t the experience itself, it’s the transformation that happens in the process.
Surrender to God’s purposes for your life.

Engage

Turn your passion and vigor into action. Make a plan from what you learned.  
Pack it up. Get on that return flight. You’re home again.
Tell your story as part of God’s Story. Engage your church.
