Taste & See is an opportunity for a local Canadian church family to take its first steps to Global Missions through the Alliance Canada. Teams will learn from experienced International Workers (IWs) on what it means to live out the Gospel in a cross-cultural context, and it is an opportunity for your youth, young adults, and members to see God’s work around the world. By partnering with IWs engaged in the advancement of the Global Church, your team can explore how they can build a relationship with other churches and ministry partners with their time, talent, treasure, and prayer. From beginning to end, teams receive quality experiences during their time overseas as they learn to build long-term bridges through short-term engagements with followers of Christ around the world.
Being a tourist town, Phuket has a laid-back atmosphere. This is not a megacity; however, beyond the bustle, there is an incredible desire for many visitors to find that “thrill” that can finally satisfy a longing in their lives; be that trying to find a perfect beach to run away from life’s problems or finding meaning and acceptance in the red light district. Phuket truly is a dream location, but the reality for many doesn’t always match up.
The purpose of the work in Phuket is to create an opportunity for God to be glorified through education, exposure & experience, a transformed worldview, and a nurtured heart for missions. The context of Thailand requires empathy, passion, and knowledge, and there is no better way to embody these traits than to join the people who are fighting to break the chains of oppression daily. We want you to see firsthand how God is working in Thailand. To be encouraged to take the next step in His plans for you.

Prerequisites
- Criminal Record Check ((18+) Vulnerable Sector)
- FFI & TAC Liability Waiver
- FFI Media Policy
- Current/Valid Passport (6 months+ expiration from final day in Thailand)
- Short bio for each individual (include gifts, talents, passions, willingness to speak at the International Church if visiting over a weekend etc.)
Restrictions
- 15 years old or older
Preparation
- Pray for eyes to see what God is going to show you through your experience in Phuket
