Global Gathering – Central Asia: Tien Shan Mountains

Kazakhstan is the world's ninth-largest country by land area and the largest landlocked country. Kazakhstan, a Central Asian country and former Soviet republic, extends from the Caspian Sea in the west to the Altai Mountains at its eastern border with China and Russia.

Most of the 12.2 million Kazakh live in Kazakhstan; however, many live in Mongolia, Ukraine, and Russia. Although many Kazakhs are culturally Muslim, their religion isn’t intensely practiced. Only 0.1% of Kazakhs are Christians. 

Kazakhs living in urban areas seem to be more open to hearing the gospel message than those in villages with stronger family bonds. Kazakhs are known for their warmth, friendliness, and hospitality.

Each participant will have the opportunity to: 
·      connect with the various ministries that our team is engaged with
·      connect with local pastors and leaders from least reached people groups
·      witness the current and future potential for partnership and ministry in Kazakhstan

We want you to see first-hand how God is working in Kazakhstan and to be encouraged to pray for the people of this land.
