Global Gathering – SE Asia: Cambodia & Along the Mekong (FULL)

Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation whose landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. Phnom Penh, its capital, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum's historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country's northwest are the ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire. 

Approximately 800,000 Vietnamese live in Cambodia—38.5% of whom are under 20. Most are undocumented migrants, materially poor, and many are illiterate or pre-literate. As undocumented migrants, they face many struggles trying to find stable income and access to education. They experience hardship as an immigrant population embedded in an unwelcoming society. 

Most practice a mix of Buddhism, animism, and ancestral worship. Only 0.17% of the Vietnamese in Cambodia are Evangelical Christians. There is a growing church presence in Phnom Penh and a few other areas, but there is little to no gospel access in most other regions of the country.

Come join us for a 7-Day Trip departing from Chaing Mai, Thailand with travel days included. Local flights will be of approximately $500 have been included in the price. Each participant will have the opportunity to:
·      Visit B4T sites and gain a greater understanding of business models (B4T is businesses strategically placed in unreached areas that are profitable and serving the local community, generally through transformation)
·      Visit our relief and development projects
·      Visit our church development sites
